A replacement dwelling in traditional Cotswold vernacular to be their ‘forever home’. Although designed whilst they were both fighting fit, they wanted to ‘future proof’ their home by making it easily adaptable should they become less mobile in later life.
The clients were looking for a traditional Cotswold vernacular style of building with excellent levels of insulation. A natural flow between rooms which would benefit from plenty of natural light was very important to them. With such a tight site the clients were impressed at how much accommodation we were able to incorporate into their new home.
The client’s preference was for a quick build in masonry, so we therefore suggested a Thin Bed Joint System which allowed them to have solid upper floors and block walls throughout.
The build went that well that they recommended our services to friends who have since gone on to build with us.
“Dealing with your company was a delight and a pleasure. Throughout the whole process all of your staff were of the utmost help, always courteous and nothing seemed too difficult for any of them! Whenever talking about the house build I have had no hesitation in recommending D&M Homes. I have nothing but admiration for all of your team.”
